Retail is the largest private sector industry in the UK, with Nottingham one of the country’s top retail destinations. The sector offers a world of job and career development opportunities. But it needs more people with the right skills – and more businesses prepared for the future.

FutureStore is part of a national plan to inspire people about the possibilities of a career in retail. Nottingham’s leading training, development and retail organisations are working together to create more opportunities in the city’s vibrant retail industry.

As a member of the National Skills Academy for Retail, Nottingham’s FutureStore forms part of a UK-wide network of walk-in retail skills shops, and commits to providing a core offer and consistent training. The National Skills Academy for Retail has been endorsed by some of the country’s largest and highest profile retailers.

Based in Nottingham’s Broadmarsh Shopping Centre, FutureStore provides free retail career information and advice. We also offer hands-on training, placement opportunities and Award/Certificate/Diploma in Retail Skills qualifications, plus ongoing support and mentoring.
